United States vs WHO???

So the Solheim Cup is quickly approaching the LPGA world, and while I am very saddened by the fact that I will be unable to attend despite only working 20 minutes from Rich Harvest, I don't really feel I will miss much. Well, unless you consider a completely unbalanced competition between the overly-talented United States team and a group of European B-Listers to be "much".

This is truly a joke beyond words... but I'm going to try to anyway.

So, let's see... the best players on that Tour, hands down, cannot compete in the tournament because they are not of European descent? Lorena Ochoa, Jiyai Shin, Ai Miyazato, and just about every other top money-lister won't be in Sugar Grove, IL this August despite being (without a doubt) the best players on the Tour.

Let's talk more about money. How many players in the Top 25 of the Official LPGA Money list are on the United States Team? Six. How many for the Europeans? ONE.

How in the world is this even fair?
