Tiger Woo...oops!
Sometimes you just have one of "those" years, you know? Tiger Woods participated in a one-day skins game in Thailand, his mother's home country, in honor of Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej. After all was said and done, the former World-#1 came away with one stinkin', lousy skin worth $6,600. Other competitors in the foursome included winner Camilo Villegas (five skins, $109,800), Paul Casey (nine skins, $92,400), and Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee (three skins, $90,000).
According to Yahoo! Sports' Jay Busbee, Woods and his mother did pay a visit to the ailing King:
Thais adore Woods because of his family connection to the country. But the golfer displayed his American side by shaking hands with Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and ignoring the leader’s “wai,” the traditional Thai greeting of palms pressed together with a head bow that is a sign of humility and respect.
Way to whiff on that one too, Tigre'.
