Rich Harvest Farms to Host 2016 International Crown

rich_harvest_2Rich Harvest Farms, located in Sugar Grove, Il, impressed the golf world when it hosted the 2009 Solheim Cup matches. Now the Chicago suburb course will have another opportunity to do the same at the 2016 International Crown. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Rich Harvest will host the four-day tournament which features 32 of the world's top female professional golfers from eight countries. The event, which will debut in July of 2014 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, MD, is the first of its kind and will provide a unique team format for players and fans alike.

Rich Harvest's Keith Rich expressed his excitement to welcome world-class golf back to his home course.

“It’s something we can all be proud of,” he said. “We want to keep it here.”

The International Crown format features three days of four-ball match-play competition before cutting three countries from the event heading into the final day, which features individual match play. Teams earn points throughout the event, with the winning team being chosen by most points earned.
