Fantasy Golf Picks: Arnold Palmer Invitational 2014
The Arnold Palmer Invitational is this week's PGA Tour stop, which means all of us just got a little bit cooler. Playing in the King's back yard has to be amazing for these guys, and Tiger Woods has won this tournament the most out of everyone. He's the defending champion, he's due for a good tournament in 2014, and he should be one of your fantasy golf picks this week.
There's a good mix of popular and "unknown" golfers in the field this week, so it might not be a bad idea to branch out a little and experiment. While I decided to go with that clown Patrick Reed, I also went outside my comfort zone and chose Kevin Na in my C-roster. He may be slower than molasses in January, but Na did finish in second place at last week's Valspar Championship. He might be worth a play.
Similarly, Robert Garrigus was in contention most of last week (before he got "Kevin Na'd"). Long hitters always have an advantage at Bay Hill, and there aren't may longer than Garrigus. As long as he can get his short-stick working, Garrigus will be in contention again come Sunday.
UPDATE -- Since Tiger has withdrawn from the tournament, I've gone with Adam Scott as his A-List replacement on my bench and gave Reed the start. Adam Scott has Tiger's old swing anyway, so it's like nothing even happened!
