FIRST LOOK: The New Sub 70 Golf TA3 Irons for 2024
Our friends over at Sub 70 Golf sent over a few photos of their exciting new TA3 muscle back and cavity back irons, and if what is said about first impressions holds true, these look like they’ll be a hit in November 2024.
While we don’t have a ton of information about these new irons, here is what we know to be true:
Golf Legend and club namesake Tommy Armour III once again had direct influence on the irons’ new design.
A cavity back model has been introduced in this line for the first time ever.
The set has been designed to be combo-friendly with progressive lofts to allow for full customization.
The long irons feature tungsten weighting to assist with MOI, COG and lift, leading to higher, straighter shots where you need it most.
The shorter irons — especially in the cavity back model — will not feature the tungsten weights to promote better feel and control.
Sub 70’s Jason Hiland made it clear that no detail was left unaddressed and fine-tuned in the new TA3 iron series, which should make fans of the direct-to-consumer brand excited. I know that we at GU are very excited to take a closer look at them very soon.
Stay tuned to the Sub 70 Golf website for more news and updates on the upgraded TA3 irons, slated for release in November 2024.
