Tour Edge Hot Launch 522 Series Preview

Tour Edge Golf has announced their new 522 Series golf clubs, complete with new drivers, woods, hybrids, irons and wedges in both the C-Series and E-Series. Featuring upgraded looks and technology across the board, the 522 Series is another massive release available October 1st to golfers everywhere.

Tour Edge 522 C-Series

Geared toward the better player game improvement demographic (“C” stands for Competition), the 522 C-Series builds upon the highly successful 521 series from last season.

The 522 C-Series driver, for example, brings Diamond Face 2.0 technology and high MOI to boost ball speeds and forgiveness on any strike. Diamond shapes of varying thickness across the face create “mini-trampolines” behind the face, combining with a Cup Face construction to produce greater face flex, faster ball speeds and better performance on off-center hits.

A back weight is strategically placed to the extreme rear of the C522 driver, fairway, and hybrid.  The extreme rear weight is housed in an all-new Deep CG Casing that places more mass at the extreme trailing edge of the clubhead. The back weight and Deep CG Casing creates an extremely high M.O.I. rating for top in-line stability. The lower and deeper CG positioning of the club dramatically affects ease of launch and added forgiveness off the face at impact.

In the new 522 C-Series irons, the biggest story here is the presence of Tour Edge’s patented VIBRCOR Technology. VIBRCOR tech comes to the Hot Launch line for the first time with the C522 Iron. VIBRCOR is a high-grade TPU strategically placed in the deep undercut pocket to create a new speed-inducing and feel-enhancing internal technology.

VIBRCOR creates a distinct feel of the clubhead at impact that dampens sound and shock, while also creating perimeter weighting around the entire clubhead for maximum forgiveness and power and ball speed enhancement off the face.

C522 Iron Lofts: #4/22-degree, #5/25-degree, #6/28-degree, #7/31-degree, #8/35-degree, #9/40-degree, P/44-degree, A/49-degree, S/54-degree, L/59-degree.

Tour Edge 522 E-Series

Geared toward players in the super game improvement category (“E” stands for “Extreme”), the new 522 E-Series drivers, woods, hybrids and irons maximize distance and control across the board.

Featuring many of the same qualities as the C-Series, the E522 Driver also introduces the Houdini Sole to its list of tech. The Houdini Sole design innovation pushes weight back as much as possible in a driver design. This design creates extra mass to precisely position weight in the head for an ultra-low and deep CG, optimizing launch conditions and greatly improving forgiveness off the face.

Diamond Face 2.0 is also included in the E522 driver, along with optimal weighting and control-length shafts to help with launch and accuracy off the tee.

The E522 iron-woods are also built for distance, launch and forgiveness for players who need a little more help in these areas. Featuring a wider back sole to promote increased ball speeds across the set, the E522 irons behave more like mini-woods than a traditional iron. The E522 Iron features the game-changing Houdini Sole in conjunction with a super-shallow face, slice-fighting offset design, and heel weighting for added draw bias.

Another feature of note is the E522 irons’ super-shallow Cup Face design. This produces higher launch angles and extreme ease of launch. This super-thin forged face design produces the pinnacle of extreme ease of launch, increased apex heights, hang time and distance.

Tour Edge 522 Series Wedges

Much like the rest of the series, the 522 wedges are available in both the E- and C-Series versions, but with a twist.

The E522 wedge also features the Houdini Sole design, complete with its curved leading edge reduced turf interaction by 35%, promoting a “no dig” design and leading to significantly less “duffs” caused by hitting up on the ball and hitting the turf at a lower point before the ball. A super-wide sole and deep undercut cavity combine to form an extremely forgiving wedge that can be useful out of any lie.

The SuperSpin VIBRCOR wedge features the same VIBRCOR technology found in the C522 irons, which promotes a soft feel at impact while producing high spin rates around the greens. CNC-milled grooves and a rear weight pad further enhance spin, launch and feel, making these outstanding wedges for the competitive player.

E522 Wedge Lofts: 52-degree, 56-degree, 60-degree

SuperSpin VIBRCOR Wedge Lofts in Right-Handed: 50-degree, 52-degree, 54-degree, 56-degree, 58-degree, 60-degree
