Known for their consistency in performance while driving innovation with every new release, the 2021 Bettinardi Studio Stock putters are incredible yet again. Featuring five new models for this season, Bettinardi’s newest Studio Stock designs once again emphasize the joy of putting well.

2021 Bettinardi Studio Stock Putters Technology

As in years past, Bettinardi Golf has laid the foundation of their impeccable putter family within this year’s Studio Stock release. All five models — ranging from the compact mid-mallet 7 to the wide-body 28 — feature 303 stainless steel in an attractive Diamond Blast finish. This finish, which appears slightly matte overall, is superbly designed to eliminate glare while remaining durable and stylish.

The biggest feature of this year’s Studio Stock family is Bettinardi’s Roll Control Face. As the name implies, this milling features an asymmetrical design groove profile that promotes more topspin at impact, and shortens the distance the ball takes to get into a true roll with each putt. This is accomplished without the need for a separate face insert, resulting in a solid, one-piece build that screams stability.

Each putter is perfectly counterbalanced to offer an unmatched feel throughout the putting stroke, with perimeter weighting to control MOI and forgiveness on every putt.

Performance and Feel

I am unabashedly a huge fan of Bettinardi, and have been since I was young. Ever since my caddying days in the Chicagoland area, Bettinardi has been a name I’ve associated with excellent craftsmanship and performance. So, with no apologies, I entered my review of the 2021 Studio Stock with high expectations and a positive outlook.

My custom-fit Studio Stock 17 features a unique high-toe topline shape in what I consider to be slightly wider than a typical blade style. I prefer this look to thinner models as it promotes a sense of forgiveness right from address, yet isn’t so wide that it becomes distracting.

At impact, the 303 stainless steel promotes a wonderfully soft — yet sturdy — feel in your hands. Putts off the center of the face feel incredible, and this sensation is similar across the entirety of the face. The heel-toe perimeter weighting is exceptionally done, resulting in minimal distance loss on off-center putts. Lag putting was a breeze with the Studio Stock 17, which I validated through multiple rounds of golf so far this season.

I particularly loved the Roll Control Face characteristics of the putter, which definitely seemed to help my golf ball enter a true roll immediately after impact. Reducing skid as much as possible is best accomplished through a proper fitting, which I highly recommend any golfer to do for their putter. Having been fit at Studio B in the past, it was awesome to see my custom specs translate flawlessly into this year’s putter model.

Overall Impression

The 2021 Bettinardi Studio Stock putters are absolutely breathtaking, once again cementing the Chicagoland-based brand as a powerhouse in putter design. This year’s Studio Stock offerings have everything you could possibly want in a putter, up to and including armlock lengths and five different head shapes.

While we do not like to choose a “winner” in terms of one piece of equipment over another, the Bettinardi Studio Stock putters for 2021 are easily one of the best on the market, hands down. I cannot recommend them highly enough, especially for golfers who are serious about their putting game.

Each Studio Stock putter in standard length retails for $450. To learn more, including customer fitting options, visit Bettinardi.com.
