In a press release sent around the golf world this morning, Miura Golf announced they have signed their first ever PGA TOUR brand ambassador: Abraham Ancer.

We don’t usually cover new sponsorship signings, but something as monumental for a company like Miura Golf deserves special attention. It’s not too often you see the words “first ever ambassador” in an announcement.

Ancer, who is paired with Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau for the first two rounds of this week’s WGC event in Mexico, has played Miura clubs since 2017. The new deal will continue to play their irons while donning the Miura brand logo on his hat as part of the new sponsorship.

“I switched to Miura irons well before any partnership; I just wanted to play the best forged irons available,” Ancer said. “I am honored to represent Miura and look forward to introducing Miura to the Mexican market.”

Ancer begins the week ranked 61st in the Official World Golf Rankings.
